Welcome to Individualized Learning Program
ILP is going on-line!
We are excited to announce that our high quality independent study courses will be delivered through our new Virtual Learning Academy in Fall of 2012. You will be able to experience all of the individual support, teacher developed curriculum, and student interaction that ILP offers now with the added benefit of more interactive curriculum and real world assignments. If you are interested in ILP for next year, please fill out the Virtual Learning Program (VLA) application.
*Current ILP students do not need to complete an applcation for VLA, they will be given a re-application form in March to state thier intent for next year. Check out this short presentation on how your experience at VLA next year will compare to ILP.
The Individualized Learning Program (ILP) is a hybrid independent study program that allows for a flexible schedule and individual attention. This learning community supports diverse students from all backgrounds in grades 9-12. Students that excel in ILP are motivated and willing to focus on their education. ILP works well for students that want to work independently and focus on their education, for example: athletes, upper classmen that want to start taking college courses at the local community colleges, and students that have a hard time concentrating in the classroom environment. ILP provides different academic pathways to assist students in taking the correct courses to reach their post-high school goals. The pathways include the general high school diploma and the college preparatory diploma pathway. Students meet weekly with a teacher one on one to go over their weekly work. Students then work independently on the assignments throughout the week. Students must attend mandatory workshop classes (weekly, bi-weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly) that align with their academic courses. These workshops supplement the work they complete individually. Students have access to a Learning Center and tutoring with the teachers.
