Course Title: Multi-Media

  • Course Length: One Semester (5 credits)
  • Grade Level: Grade 9-12
  • Prerequisite: None

Students in this introductory course will learn how to use the productivity tools in Microsoft Office. Students will learn the basics about word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation tools, all the tools they will need for their senior project and for the marketplace. Students will attend bi-weekly workshops during which they can receive face-to-face training, and will be led through the course with a step by step manual.

Course Title: Web Design

  • Course Length: One Semester (5 credits)
  • Grade Level: Grades 9-12
  • Prerequisite: Business Technology recommended

This course is an introduction to publishing on the Internet’s World Wide Web. Topics will focus on creating web pages using Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML), organizing a series of pages into a website, and uploading web pages to a server. Students will attend bi-weekly workshops during which they can receive face-to-face training.

Course Title: Advanced Web Design

  • Course Length: One Semester (5 credits)
  • Grade Level: Grades 9-12
  • Prerequisite: Grade of B or higher in Web Design 1 or advisor approval.

This course introduces students to more advanced skills in web design and gives students real-life experience in web development. As a major part of this course, students will develop and maintain the ILP Internet website. Students will attend weekly workshops, during which they will receive one-on-one training, as well as the opportunity to work with other students in a web development team.
